Seems like if I SSR, I get clipped by most of his moves.
SOUL CALIBUR VI YOSHIMITSU HOW TO
Yoshi will always be a gimmickly character, but if you don't know how to punish his shenannigans, it really doesn't help for the match up.īreakdown the Yoshi moves your having trouble against and find the keys to beat them, it will make you a better player in the long run.Įxactly what I was looking for. Those are a few hints i can give, i'm extremely tired right now. This will cover all of his options from fly and will also beat the 3B,B string as your sidestepping in between the string.Īlthough Yoshi's main normal to gain meter is safe, it's not his turn anymore when he finishes, that's your time to start laying on pressure. (3B into, i dunno what the other input is but it puts him into Manji Dragonfly), you can side step to your left i believe and horizontal attack straight afterwards. There's an option select for his string to helicopter. He's pretty tame, sounds you haven't learnt the Yoshi matchup, which is fine. Originally posted by UYU | koenji:Yoshi is in no way shape or form busted in this game. He was way too much going for him atm, and those tips don't work against a smart Yoshi, but appreciate it. Yoshi is definately not a difficult character in the least when his basic strings are nigh unpunishable and can lead to extremely easy and damaging frame traps. He cancel most of his normal strings into helicopter to delay his next hit just enough to avoid the GI window and Counter Hit you. GI doesn't work on him all the time also because of his speed.
Reversal Edge doesn't work half the time, he can cancel a lot of his strings fast enough to sidestep and when he's Soul Charged, using RE is a guaranteed way to get destroyed. A hard to play, weak character would be entirely pointless. Yoshimitsu is classified as a difficult character, so he should have something going for him. He's also got mainly a short range kit, so depending on who you're playing, zone him out. Originally posted by zachillios:General tips being if you're being pressured, reversal edge or guard impact him off you. Ivy is dumb because her moves come out fast but atleast she's punishable on the longer moves, it feels like Yoshi is nearly impossible to punish once he's in advantage against you.Īm I missing something here? Any tips would be appreciated cause I've never had issues against this character in past games, but in SC6 he's just ridiculous. I don't normally have many issues against most characters barring Yoshi and Ivy atm. Can't Ukemi out of most things cause he shuts that down too even faster than you can even see your character roll.Ĭan't GI consistently because he can also stance cancel a lot of his moves too into helicopter. I absolutely hate fighting this character because it seems nearly nothing I do with any character is fast enough to deal with him, Soul Charged is even worse because you can't even RE out of his dumb crap, and he gets meter from his already safe as hell normals.
